This is to give you an update on where we are at with regards the courts and to get you upto speed with some new developments with regards the courts uplift.
I have been in conversation recently with Mission Bay Club and Mark Lewis from Tennis Auckland with regards the Club uplifting the old courts ourselves. Their advise is that it is very intensive work which needs a lot of manpower and specialised equipment which would potentially take a week in the least.
Taking this guidance into consideration, the Club Committee has decided to get Tiger Turf to uplift the courts alongwith the install of the new turf on Courts 3 to 6. Thank you so much to all who had originally volunteered to help with the the uplift.
Tiger Turf has informed us that this project will commence on Mon 13 June. Courts 3 to 6 will be out of bounds.
Please be informed that courts 1 and 2 will remain accessible but please follow any safety instructions set up whilst the courts are getting upgraded when accessing courts 1 and 2. Also please be mindful, that courts 1 and 2 will be in use by Aaron Hicks, Club coach between 3:30 to 5:30pm for his afterschool sessions. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
I can also confirm that the Battle of the Bombays Tournament against Hamilton Club will go ahead as per schedule on Sat 11 June, 2-6pm. Please come support this event, bring along an afternoon tea to share please.
